Parenting News I just received copies of “Parenting Tips & Times” published by the NDSU Extension Service/Region VII Parenting Resource Center. In addition to parenting tips, this issue has information on “Flood Resources.” There are some flood resources on their webpage at http://www.ag.ndsu.edu/disaster/flood.html. In addition the Spring 2009 issue contains articles such as: 1. Arguing with Kids…Trapped in a No-Win Situation 2. Nurturing and Raising Children Who are not with Their Parents 3. What About Those Teens & Tweens? Remember it is normal to feel overwhelmed at times. But don’t let the feelings affect how you treat your children. Instead look for some resources so that you can be better prepared to meet the demands of parenting. Parenting can be one of the most difficult jobs in the world. Yet, most people have no formal training. If you would like a copy, please stop by my office or call Kathleen Schmaltz, Extension Agent at (701) 667-3342.
